Showers and wet areas are the harshest environments for an internal lining material. EnduraPanel must be protected on the rear (coated) surface from exposure to moisture as this will degrade the coating over the long term.
The following has been developed as the best practice solution for EnduraPanel when used as a vertical wall lining in a shower environment.
EnduraPanel is available as a standard shower liner kit, consisting of:
Two sheets of gloss EnduraPanel – 1m x 2m with one long edge polished on both sheets
One aluminium internal corner jointer
One length anti-fracture membrane
Adhesive/sealant.
EnduraPanel should be stored, transported, handled, machined and installed in accordance with the instructions contained in the general information section of this architectural specification (see General Information).
Install wall liner such as a fibre-cement sheet following manufacturer’s instructions. Install shower tray as per manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure wall linings are sound, flat and smooth, and that no screw-heads are above the finished surface. Ensure the junction between the shower tray and wall liner is sealed with a flexible caulking.
Our Shower Lining Detail brochure provides detailed drawings and instructions for installing EnduraPanel as a shower lining.
